When the lighting outside turned golden, and this rainbow appeared in the sky over my house,
I immediately jumped into my car in the hopes of capturing an image from an unobstructed view.
Fearful that the sun would slip behind a cloud, I stopped along the way to snap a couple of shots
but miraculously arrived at the Main Street Bridge over the Charles River before all the magic disappeared.
What a breathtaking view of a double rainbow with a full reflection in the river.

This family shoot turned a wintery corner
when the sun set and snow flurries filled the air.
Despite the cold New England conditions (and with the formal shots well behind us),
we had a little fun and created this spooky family "album cover."

Baby Fox
I heard that there was a fox den in my local cemetary, so I strapped on my camera and took a walk at dusk.
Sure enough, as I rounded the corner where the rhododendron bushes were in full bloom,
I spotted a group of 4-5 fox cubs frolicking (yes, joyfully and playfully frolicking!) in the sunlight.
They froze and then darted off as I raised my camera for a shot. So I took cover behind a wall, and eventually, this brave little baby stepped out and posed for me.
The mother fox was barking a warning from the hill to my left, at which point we both took our leave.

Pomegranate Pop
The Vienna Naschmarkt is a
very exciting place to visit in Austria's capital.
It dates back to the 16th
century and still draws a crowd.
The bustle, sounds, and smells
make it a great tourist destination

it a photographer's dream.

Outstanding in His Field
Driving through the Italian
Alps on a warm August day in 2015,
I spied this man surveying his
cornfield.
Behind him was a charming
little neighborhood, with a magnificent castle perched above on a hill.
And miles beyond that, the
Italian Alps provided a majestic backdrop.

Barnstable Barn
The beauty of Cape Cod is
starkly in evidence in the winter
when the cold crisp air and
shuttered restaurants keep the tourists away
leaving the peace and quiet to
those who appreciate this vacation spot for its lonely seacoast charm.
On this clear January day, I
captured the long shadows over the seashell driveway of this beautiful
barn.

On June 21, 2018, I took
myself to the highest point in Medfield overlooking the Charles River.

Isabella's Palace
Isabella Stewart Gardner built
this magnificent Museum Palace to display her personal art collection.
Nearly 100 years later, little
has changed (per her will and for every good reason imaginable).
My companion last week
reluctantly posed for this image, believing that art should be appreciated
and not photographed.
She is correct, of course, but
I stubbornly captured some interiors as well as the stunning courtyard,
breathtaking art itself,
always steps away from the dimly lit rooms full of history, beauty, and
